Angel's Landing, or Observation Point? Hello all, My girlfriend and I are planning a weekend trip to Zion next weekend. As of now, we are planning Angel's Landing hike for Saturday and if I have my way we will be getting into the park around 7:00 AM. After successfully hiking to the top of Observation Point, I feel silly for not putting it at the top of my list all along. It’s an amazing hike and arguably better than Angel’s Landing at least from what I’ve read and seen in other traveler’s blog posts. My 61-year-old mom wasn’t interested in Angel’s Landing 10 years ago but she was all for Observation Point this time around for this reason! At the end viewpoint, you are actually looking down on Angel’s Landing. Angel’s Landing is famous mainly for the amazing view at the end of the hike.
Important Note: Crowds on the trail to Angels Landing have been enormous in 2019. The trails to Hidden Canyon, Observation Point, and Weeping Rock are closed, giving hikers limited options in.
